Trained as a sociologist (M.Sc.) and holding a Ph.D. in Urban Studies, I joined the CISA team because I wanted to move toward more applied research—research that can directly contribute to the changes that are so urgently needed today, especially in the agri-food sector. My academic background and previous research have helped me develop critical thinking skills, rigour, and, more broadly, a sensitivity to cultural and social issues—all of which I try to bring into my work every day.

At CISA, my projects focus on supporting the establishment of the next generation of farmers, protecting farmland, advancing food security, and strengthening local food systems. I also serve on the Research Ethics Committee of Cégep de Victoriaville.
