Lou Aendekerk, LL. M.

I hold a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in public and international law, with a specialization in issues related to the transition of agri-food systems. My career path has led me to work with several organizations committed to defending producers’ rights and promoting sustainable food systems. These experiences have allowed me to collaborate closely with farmers and field actors in different regions of the world, refining my understanding of the agricultural realities and the social, economic, and environmental challenges they face.

Wanting to broaden my expertise and embrace a cross-disciplinary perspective, I complemented my legal training with a teaching certification in social sciences. This diploma later enabled me to train and raise awareness among diverse audiences on issues of food justice, fundamental rights in the context of production and consumption systems, and the fight against inequalities.

Driven by an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach, I am now pleased to contribute, within the CISA, to research projects that highlight social innovation as a way to support the transition toward more sustainable and equitable agri-food systems.
