Cégep de Victoriaville has achieved a notable recognition by being ranked 18th in Canada and 4th in Quebec in Research Infosource's Top 50 Canadian Colleges for Research. This esteemed ranking highlights the Cégep's commitment to developing applied research that supports both businesses and communities.

One of the key strengths of Cégep de Victoriaville is its extensive research partnerships. It ranks 1st in Canada among small colleges (defined as those with total revenues under $75 million) with 569 active collaborations. Additionally, it holds the 2nd position for the number of paid student researchers and for the share of research revenue derived from industry, which accounts for 39.8% of total revenue.

This impressive performance is driven by the institution's three college technology transfer centers (CCTTs), which are instrumental in fostering innovation. Denis Deschamps, Director General of Cégep de Victoriaville, stated, “Our three CCTTs are genuine catalysts for innovation that significantly enrich our institution. In addition to their recognized expertise, they create a dynamic learning environment for the entire college community, while generating tangible benefits for businesses and organizations, from our region to the national level. This synergy between teaching, research, and the community is the strength of Cégep de Victoriaville.”

Centre for Social Innovation in Agriculture (CISA) plays a vital role in supporting the socio-ecological transition of the agri-food sector through action research and knowledge transfer. By placing people and innovation at the core of each project, CISA contributes to the development and transformation of the entire Quebec agri-food value chain through training, technical assistance, and public education.

Centre d'Expertise et de Transfert en Agriculture Biologique et de Proximité (CETAB+) is one of the largest organic farming centers in Canada in terms of projects, employees, and dissemination tools. Its dedication to innovation and research significantly impacts the agricultural sector and the organic transition.

Inovem, the wood and related materials innovation center, offers applied research services that address the industry's challenges linked to digital and ecological transitions. The Inovem team collaborates with companies on research programs aimed at increasing productivity through digital technologies, developing new materials focused on local and circular sourcing, sustainable finishing, productivity 4.0, and mixed reality.

These accomplishments underscore the significant influence of Cégep de Victoriaville on fostering innovative solutions, training the next generation, and promoting socio-economic growth in Quebec.
